  1. Here is a photo apparently from the same 1961 session as the open trunk photo:

It shows the six plastic bubble top sections on their quilted pads. The sections, starting with the number one piece which is being held by the two technicians squatting next to the back bumper are:
    1. CENTER SECTION OVER BACK SEAT
    2. LEFT MIDDLE SECTION OVER JUMP SEAT
    3. RIGHT MIDDLE SECTION OVER JUMP SEAT
    4. RIGHT SECTION OVER BACK SEAT
    5. LEFT SECTION OVER BACK SEAT
    6. FULL WIDTH SECTION OVER FRONT SEAT
Here is a great color photo from around 1961 (based on wheel covers) looking down on the top of the limousine showing the sections:

You can see the snaps along the chrome edging of the sections that the black cover attached to. The black cover was of leatherette convertible top material and apparently was in three pieces: One over the front seat, one over the jump seats, and one over the rear seat. The pieces were probably folded up and stored in the bottom of the trunk under a quilted pad with the plastic roof sections on top.
    Some interesting additional reading:
